This course is based on the unit of competency CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry which is recognised Australia wide.

This course covers the general work health and safety information you require to work on a construction site in Australia.

What will you learn:

• Work Health and Safety responsibilities
• Identifying and managing hazards and risks on a construction site
• Responding to accidents and incidents

• You must be at least 14 years of age to participate in the training
• You must provide original ID documents that add up to at least 100 points. Within these documents, you must be able to show your photo, date of birth (minimum age 17 years), signature and current residential address.
• If you do not bring the correct ID on the day of training, you will be refused entry to the course and it will cost you the full course fee to rebook.
• Special arrangements apply for participants in the following groups:
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders (go to part A in this form).
  • School sector (go to part B in this form).
  • Overseas persons recently arrived in Australia (for less than six weeks) (go to part C in this form).

A USI – Unique Student Identifier is a reference number that you can easily create an online which keeps a record of your training and qualifications attained in Australia.

If you are commencing a nationally recognised training, you need a USI in order to receive your qualification or statement of attainment.
