This course is based on the unit of competencies UETTDREL14 – Working safely near live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker & HLTAID001 – Provide CPR which are recognised Australia wide.
In the course, you will learn requirements for work in proximity to overhead power lines and the minimum Safe Approach Distances for various types of work.
Working within these distances, personally or in the operation of mobile plant, adjacent to electrical overhead conductors/apparatus, means persons are subjected to the dangers of electric shock or death.
A safe working environment can be provided if all persons are trained and instructed in safe work practices and are made aware of the statutory requirements.
